Two men, one in a deep blue coat and broad-brimmed hat and the other in a long grey coat and woolen skullcap, wander through a forest of small pine trees. The one in the hat carries what appears to be a bundle of clothes, but closer inspection reveals a pair of bright green eyes peering out from one end. Snow drifts lazily downward, settling on shoulders and heads as well as on the green branches of the trees. "How's this one, Benny?"

The hat shakes from side to side, and they move on. Finally one tree meets with approval, and it is lashed to the roof of a brown car. "Twee," the bundle says happily.

"Christmas tree," the man in the grey coat answers, buckling her in.
